Late Major Mahama’s phone retrieved from room of two suspects

Contrary to reports that Major Maxwell Adam Mahama was only lynched by angry residents of Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central Region, reports reaching DAILY GUIDE indicate that the army officer was rather struck down by bullets. According to autopsy conducted on the late army commander, his assailants shot him twice before lynching him. Two bullets were lodged in his body, a pathologist at the 37 Military Hospital who conducted the autopsy, discovered. Major Mahama also suffered a fractured skull when the crowd descended upon him with cudgels, clubs, cement blocks and other deadly weapons. Publish names of diplomatic passport holders Government urged

  North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has said for purposes of transparency and full disclosure, it will be ideal for the government to publish names of past government appointees who are still holding on to diplomatic passports and those who have retuned theirs. According to him, this will bring finality to the matter. Government To Clear Arrears Of School Feeding Caterers Before July

Government has promised caterers under the Ghana School Feeding Program it would clear all arrears owed them before their contract elapse by July 2017. A statement issued by the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection and signed by the sector Minister Otiko Afisah Djaba apologized to caterers for the delay in the settlement of their debts. “We would like to apologise for the delay in payment to The Ghana School Feeding Caterers and the severe challenges this may be posing to them. The Minority Leader in Parliament has raised red flag over decision by the Akufo-Addo-led government to review the ECG concession agreement. Government of Ghana signed the Ghana Power Compact with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), an independent United States government agency on August 5, 2014. The Supreme Court has dismissed a suit filed by Amoako Tuffuor and other seeking an early declaration of special voting results.
