A new petroleum law to allow the sector Minister to directly negotiate petroleum blocks with investors has caused a stir in Parliament. Minority Members of Parliament (MP)s say the Exploration and Petroleum Bill is open to abuse because the Minister could negotiate deals in his own private interest. Alleged human meat seller arrested; Police hunt for accomplice

  The Accra regional police have begun investigations to find the pastor who directed a market woman to sell human flesh at the Adabraka market. This comes after the 60-year-old woman was nearly lynched at the Adabraka market in Accra Wednesday after she was accused of selling human flesh as meat. The woman, whose name has been withheld by the police to protect her identity, was whisked away to the Adabraka Police Station by the Police and some good Samaritans after a teeming crowd had attempted to lynch her. Microfinance scam hits Ho as hundreds demonstrate

  Some aggrieved customers of some microfinance companies in Ho have threatened not to partake in the upcoming elections if government fails to assist them in retrieving monies from the companies. Clothed in red outfits, the over two hundred placard-wielding customers who invested huge sums of monies in the companies hit the streets of Ho Thursday, to protest the locking up of their monies by the companies.
