Corruption inflated cost of SSNIT’s $66m software – Franklin Cudjoe

The Social Security and National Insurance Trust’s (SSNIT) $66 million dollar software may have cost as much because of the corruption in public sector procurement. According to the President of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe the software which could have cost less if local IT professionals had built it. The Board of Trustees of SSNIT has begun investigations into how the former management acquired a BOS software System for $66 million. Charlotte Osei’s speech after receiving US award

The Chairperson of Ghana’s Electoral Commission, Charlotte Osei was on Tuesday honoured with the United States Department of State’s Women of Courage Award for 2017. Presenting the award, the US Ambassador to Ghana, Robert P. Ankaful Threatens To Send Patients Home

The acting Clinical Coordinator of Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital in the Central Region, Dr Emefa Dadzie, has hinted that the inadequate financial support from the central government will force the hospital to discharge the mentally-ill patients who are receiving treatment at the facility in the near future. The Former Executive Director of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Ras Mubarak, should be held responsible for the misapplication of funds at authority, which was uncovered by the Auditor-General. The 2015 Auditor General’s Report indicted the NYA over the misapplication of the sum of GH¢215,100. The National Youth Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Sammy Awuku has said the decision to discontinue the mandatory tow levy was because Ghanaians did not like it.
